Enterprise Ireland has just launched an exciting new initiative that could really help ambitious Irish companies to refocus their business online in these challenging times. The new COVID-19 Online Retail Scheme offers 80% funding towards a new digital strategy and an improved eCommerce platform.

As approved eCommerce consultants for the scheme, Aphix, along with our partners, MOR Digital, can help qualifying companies to develop an innovative digital strategy and compelling eCommerce proposal.

We will also manage, prepare and submit a high-quality grant submission to give you the best possible chance to secure funding.

Aphix is dedicated to helping companies sell smarter with the Aphix Digital Platform. Our integrated eCommerce solutions give you live product, stock and pricing data and see orders being placed directly to your ERP.

Customers on our platform have seen huge increases in online orders since the Covid19 restrictions began with one company seeing a 222% increase in online revenue in one month.

Who is the scheme for?

Irish owned retail/wholesale businesses with more than 10 full-time employees and over 50% sales via retail outlets. You need to have an existing website or social presence, have high growth potential and ideally an ambition to export internationally.

How much funding do you get?

You can secure up to 80% grant funding for your project! You can submit a minimum application of €12,500 to get €10,000 grant funding, right up to a maximum of €48,000 to get €40,000. The grant can cover programme delivery fees for Aphix and MOR, along with a salary subsidy for a senior staff member who will manage the project.

What kind of activities are covered?

The scheme will cover a full range of digital strategy and e-commerce improvement activities including:

  • Digital audits & research Digital strategy development
  • Website UX & UI design e-commerce platform functionality
  • Digital marketing programme
  • Training, support & advice

We will align the project proposal with MOR Digital’s unique Digital Growth Programme, a digital marketing and e-commerce improvement programme that has been designed to dovetail with Enterprise Ireland’s e-marketing grant supports.

Will my project qualify for the grant?

The grant is a competitive fund and interest is expected to be high, so you have to present a really solid e-commerce project idea that will have a big impact on your business and create sustainable competitive advantage. It should also support job creation and improve the viability of the business, and ideally, it will eventually lead to an expansion into new export markets.

How do I apply for the grant?
